Dr. Tomasz (Tom) Beer is a Professor of Medicine; Deputy Director for Oregon Health & Science University. He is also the Chief Medical officer at Knight Cancer Institute. Tom is the Grover C. Bagby endowed chair for Prostate Cancer Research in the Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology, where he leads the Prostate Cancer Research Program, encompassing basic research, translational research, clinical trials of novel therapeutic strategies in prostate cancer, and studies aimed at enhancing cancer survivorship. He attended John Hopkins University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and Medical Doctor Degree. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his daughters riding bikes, hiking, and traveling.
