About

Summit Bank, Oregon’s Business Bank, provides personalized service, local decision making, and professional banking advice. Our business-focused, strategic group of Board of Directors and Oregon-based Advisory Boards positions the bank as a leading provider of business banking services.

Oregon’s Business Bank

Summit Bank serves the banking needs of nonprofits, professionals, businesses, and individuals with a high level of personalized customer service and the latest in banking solutions and tools. We offer a full line of deposit and lending solutions with Business Client Advisors who are experienced in commercial real estate, commercial & industrial loans in addition to the specialized lending needs of nonprofits. This is enhanced by our ability to make decisions locally in Oregon and quickly.

Our History

Summit Bank began serving the needs of local businesses and clients in 2004 as the first independent community bank to open in the Eugene/Springfield area in over 25 years.

The genesis of the Bank followed after multiple mergers left local business owners and professionals lacking the personalized service and professionalism long associated with locally founded and focused banking institutions.

Summit Bank has grown to more than one billion in assets. The bank is owned by more than 400 shareholders and is traded over the counter under the symbol SBKO.

Our Board

Summit Bank has about 400 local shareholders, most of whom are Summit Bank clients and individuals who live and work in the communities we serve and many of who conduct their banking with Summit Bank.

In addition, we have a local Board of Directors plus three Community Advisory Boards, (Central Oregon, Eugene and Portland) of which members are stockholders as well as clients of the bank.

We do not have any institutional investors as big banks do. We are publicly traded over the counter via pink ticket (symbol: SBKO).

A Banking Leader

Summit Bank was named one of the top performing community banks in the country in the report released from S&P Global Market Intelligence, which ranked all community banks under $1 billion in assets.

Summit ranked number 78, which put us in the top 2% of the nearly 4,600 community banks headquartered across the country. In addition, Summit Bank maintains a 5 star rating with Bauer Financial.

Summit Bank was named one of the “Top 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon” by Oregon Business Magazine for the last six years, and “Top 100 Green Companies In Oregon” the last four years.
