Summit Bank Announces the Promotions of Carly Carmichael, Jill Cummings, and Jordan Burcham

Today, Summit Bank, the leading Oregon-based community business bank, announced the promotion of Jill Cummings, Carly Carmichael, and Jordan Burcham. This advancement is a strategic part of Summit Bank’s commitment to supporting the local business community and fostering economic growth in Central Oregon.

Carly Carmichael, who has excelled as Vice President and Business Client Advisor, now takes on the role of Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Team Leader. Her outstanding management of a significant loan portfolio, high credit quality maintenance, and remarkable client satisfaction have been instrumental in the bank’s success since 2018.

Jill Cummings, a key figure in the substantial growth of the region’s deposit base with extensive experience in the management of the treasury and operations sectors, has been promoted from Vice President and Market Development Manager to Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Team Leader. After joining the bank in 2017, her invaluable insights and unwavering dedication to colleagues and community have played a pivotal role in enhancing our client services and operational efficiencies.

Jordan Burcham has been promoted from Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager, to Vice President, Business Client Advisor.  Since joining Summit Bank in 2019, Jordan has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. He served as an Associate in the bank’s Eugene office for over two years before becoming Portfolio Manager in the Central Oregon office.

“We are thrilled to elevate Carly and Jill to critical leadership positions and Jordan to a key Commercial Banking Officer position,” said Gary O’Connell, Central Oregon’s Market President for Summit Bank. “Their proven track record and deep commitment to our clients align perfectly with Summit Bank’s mission to provide unparalleled service to the businesses and communities we serve.”

The promotions of Carmichael and Cummings coincide with the strategic opening of our new Redmond office located at 538 SW Highland Avenue. This office, a hub for our expanded operations and client service initiatives in the region, underscores our commitment to local businesses and nonprofits. The Redmond office is tailored to the needs of local businesses and offers a comprehensive range of commercial banking services.

“It is an honor to step into this new role,” said Cummings,” especially at such an exciting time of growth for Summit Bank and Central Oregon. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Carly and our entire team to support and expand our client base in Central Oregon.”

Carmichael looks forward to leading a team and continuing to grow the bank.  “Our collaboration has already brought forth great results, and I am excited about what the future holds for the communities we serve. We are committed to being more than just a bank; we aim to be a trusted financial partner for all our clients. This commitment will be the driving force behind our service excellence.”
