Lifting Neighborhoods Across Oregon

Summit Bank goes beyond everyday banking to make a genuine difference in the places we call home. In 2024, our team volunteered for 1,534 hours, contributed $337,605 in donations and sponsorships, and arranged $12,589,700 in loans that serve nonprofits throughout the state. Of that total, $8.3 million went toward affordable housing, helping more families find a stable roof over their heads.

Eugene & Springfield: Working Together for Well-Being

In Eugene and Springfield, we’ve teamed up with nonprofits, schools, and local groups to improve quality of life. By backing organizations such as Direction Service Inc., Eugene Police Foundation, Sponsors Inc., and Hope and Safety Alliance, we help children and families move forward when they need it most. Our support for O’Hara Catholic School, Marist High School, CASA of Lane County, and Eugene Metro Futbol Club offers students and young athletes the chance to grow and succeed.

We also contribute to Cascade Health Foundation, Community Supported Shelters, and Volunteers in Medicine, strengthening healthcare and housing resources. On the cultural side, we support Ballet Fantastique, The John G. Shedd Institute, and Oregon Contemporary Theater, promoting local arts. By partnering with Food for Lane County, we help ensure no one goes hungry.

Downtown Portland & Hillsboro: Strengthening Services and Opportunity

In Portland and the surrounding Westside, Summit Bank supports groups focused on social services, local businesses, and youth programs. Through Community Warehouse, Indigo Rescue, and the Family Justice Center, we help keep families equipped with necessities, safeguard animals, and offer assistance to domestic violence survivors.

We also support the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Portland Metro Chapter of RMA to spur economic growth and professional connections. Meanwhile, our contributions benefit the Boys and Girls Club (Portland Area) and Candlelighters for Children with Cancer, ensuring young people have safe places to learn, play, and receive care in tough times.

Bend & Redmond: Fueling Central Oregon’s Progress

In Bend and Redmond, we work with local organizations to boost economic development and improve daily life. Our support for Economic Development for Central Oregon, Redmond Economic Development Inc., and Sunriver/La Pine Economic Development helps create the right conditions for businesses to flourish.

We also recognize that people need more than jobs alone. That’s why we invest in the Family Access Network Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon, and Deschutes Children’s Foundation, so children and families can find essential services close to home. Plus, we sponsor events like the Oregon High Desert Classic, which brings folks together through youth sports and community spirit.

Our work in 2024—1,534 hours of volunteering, $337,605 in donations, and $12.5 million in nonprofit loans, including $8.3 million for affordable housing—shows how much we care about each neighborhood we serve. We’re proud of what we’ve done and look forward to doing more in the years ahead. By joining forces with local groups and paying close attention to each region’s needs, we plan to keep uplifting people across Oregon—one partnership at a time.
